Celebrating Colour and Community at Spitalfields Marke

As an artist who loves colour, I’m always thrilled to go to the colour walk at Spitalfields Market in London the event happens every third Thursday of the month. This events brings together people from all walks of life to celebrate the joy and beauty of colour creativity and art.

On the day of the colour walk, I arrived at the market at 1 o’clock in the afternoon dressed in my brightest and most colourful outfit i are that week creating one of my beautiful headdresses bright colours for the special occasion. I”m always greeted by a sea of people, all wearing vibrant and eye-catching clothes. It is a sight to behold!

As we set off on our walk through the market, there is always a feel and sense of community and camaraderie. Everywhere you looked, people are smiling, laughing, and enjoying each other’s company.

The market itself was alive with colour and activity. Vendors sold antiques and vintage items, adding to the charm and character of the market.

As we walked, we celebrated each other’s unique styles and personalities. We took photos, shared stories, and made new friends. Among them were my dear friends Sue Kreitzman and Anne Sophie Cochevelou, who added their own colourful flair to the event they are the colour queens .
