Step into a slower, more mindful world of colour with Natural Dye Workshop.
This gentle, sensory-led experience invites guests to discover the quiet beauty of hues created entirely by nature. Working with organic cotton, participants explore how everyday botanical ingredients can transform fabric into rich, earthy tones.
Using natural elements such as avocado stones and skins, onion skins, red cabbage, turmeric, and other plant-based dyes, guests witness the subtle magic of colour extraction and absorption. Soft pinks, warm golden shades, muted purples, and beautifully unpredictable variations begin to emerge as the fabric develops.
The process itself is calm and grounding. As cloth moves through the dye bath, participants are encouraged to slow down, observe, and enjoy the meditative rhythm of working with natural materials. There is a sense of curiosity and quiet anticipation as colours gradually reveal themselves.
Throughout the workshop, LuluJoelle shares guidance on the dyeing process, offering insight into how natural ingredients interact with fibres to produce their distinctive palette.
Guests create a collection of organically dyed cotton pieces — small colour studies that can be kept as creative swatches, incorporated into textile projects, or simply treasured as tactile reminders of the experience.
